Crafting is a Stress Relief

Over the past several years I've had this wonderful craft space where I can go for just 15 minutes a day or hours in a day and just be.  I can create or recreate something.  Just the fact that I'm crafting has a sense of calming over me.  I can engross myself in making my project perfect, or I can walk away after just a few minutes leaving all my creativity out to reexamine at another time.  Some days or even weeks I can not design, my mind is not into it, and I stare blankly at what I should do, but I still like to create.  That's when I'll pull out a kit to do, maybe it's a card kit or scrapbook page kit.  Just the fact that I can put it together gives me a sense of accomplishment.

This weeks card was one of those ones I made by going into my craft room for about 10 or 15 minutes here and there and just coming up with a creation. I like it when that happens.  I felt like last weeks card was just so blah so I wanted to design something this week that was a little more involved. I'm still moving back into my craft space so things are all over the place but I was able to come up with this pretty design.

Here is the inspirational sketch from Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge

Here is my take on the sketch.  I turned my card the long way.

I used my Cricut Explore to cut the flowers out of  WE R Memories Feeling Grovy Paper.  The background orange is card stock from Stamp In Up and the tag with the thank you stamp is a random sticker I had.  The Thanks Much stamp is from Stampin Up Six Sided Sampler.  I added bakers twine to the bottom and a small button.  I always need Thank you cards, so I went with that sentiment.
I would love to see what you can create with the AHSC sketch.Click here to enter
