Scrapbooking! My Loves

I  recently got photos printed from my Wedding on May 3rd and really wanted to start scrapbooking some of them.  I have been busy making cards and working on some new items for my Etsy shop. ** I'll post a sneak peek of my new items soon.** This week on the Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge Blog is this sketch and I immediately thought of a scrapbook page.

I looked through my photos that I printed and loved this one of me and my children at my wedding.
These two kids are definitely My Loves.

My wedding color was purple so I wanted to do this layout in purple.  I got a new stamp from StampIn Up Papillon Potpourri and couldn't wait to use it.  I also got the butterfly punch.  The butterflies were so fun and easy to make!  I also got some purple inks form StampIn Up. Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria wonder.  The butterflies are stamped using these inks.  Then I used purple Stickle to give it bling!

The title was cut from my Cricut Explore Design Studio using the font Storybook. Then I added ribbon and of course some bling.  I matted purple paper on black 12X12 paper and then continued to mat my picture.  I love how this came out so much that I framed it and now it's hanging in my hallway. Now to scrapbook one with me and my love, my prince!

I can't wait to see what you create with this weeks AHSC #70.

AHSC #69

I saw the sketch for this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Hearts and thought the card I just made would be perfect for this.  It's very similar to the card I made for my card club.  This one was actually the first one I made for an anniversary card and then decided to make it into a birthday card for my card club.
Here is the sketch

Here is the card I made.

I used Stampin Up stamps from several different sets.  Most of them retired.  The small little flowers were from the Banner Blast stamp set. The patterned paper is from watercolor by Stampin Up.

I hope you will play along with us! Add your design by clicking this link!

August Card Club

I'm having so much fun in my card club.  This month it was at my house and the theme was Birthday for our card swap.  It happen to be Michelle's Birthday month so I got a little cake which was chocolate and white mousse.  Yummy!

Sitting next to Michelle is the adorable card project we made which was a birthday card with a stacked cake! Love it! Michelle found the directions to this on Lisa Young's blog so if you'd like to try it out too check out her blog.
Her is what the card looks like up close

I'd love to try this technique for a wedding card too.

Here are this weeks cards from our card swap.  These ladies are so extremely creative  I love getting together with them and seeing their fabulous ideas.

Missing this week is Rachelle's card.  She couldn't make it. We have a total of 7 of us.

Liz's card, so pretty! And that's a fork bow!

Tracy's card , opens up to this great cut out!

Angela's Card
Banner punch, love that!

Love the insides, I need to do more insides of cards. :-)

Cindy's card!  She is a newbie and did this fabulous card that slides!

Michelle's card with a technique she taught us called "Kissing".
So pretty! Can't wait to try this technique

My card. I used several different stamp sets to create this card.

I also won the door prize this week.  This cute little decorated cup with some awesome twine in it! Thanks Michelle.

I will be posting our card club creations each month so be sure to subscribe to my blog to not miss any of the great creations.

Second term on Design Team

I was excited to be welcomed back for a second term on the Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge Design Team.
This is the first card I've created for the second term and I love how it came out.  I was playing around with Heidi Grace Embossed Punch-Out Flowers that I scored at a local Tuesday Morning Shop. Then I thought about my first design team challenge for the second term and I  made this beautiful card.
Here is the sketch that was the inspiration:

Here is the design I came up with...

The background paper is from my hoard of Leaving Prints, when I use to be a consultant before the company went debunk.  The stamped sentiment is from a CTMH stamp set Happy Birthday and I used CTMH ink Ruby to distress the edges of the orange cardstock.  I embellished with some sparkle bling and of course stickle.

I'd love to see what you can make using this weeks sketch.  Go to AHSC blog and post your design!
Can't wait to see what you create!
