My Wedding Invitation

I'm so excited to finally blog about my Wedding Invitation.  The Invitations went out over a week ago and everyone should have received them by now. I had such a great time coming up with the design of these.  I knew right away I wanted my invitation to be a castle. I purchased the Cricut Cartridge Princess Party and started playing around with a card cutout that opens up.
So this is the basics of the card.

Once I designed the whole thing I went to work on assembling it.

This is what I had at first and decided it needed a ribbon to keep it closed and a little more bling!

I designed this to go around the front of the card

This is the inside of the card. On the left is the reception information and on the right is general information about our wedding website and accommodations. I printed these out from my Hallmark Card studio program. I added the sparkly trim to both sides and more bling on the top scalloped edge.

I needed something to protect them a little in shipping so I slipped them into these handy dandy clear envelopes that I got from Stampin Up.
I also made up a response card to stick inside.  Just a simple ivory and purple card.
It probably took me two months to design and make all of these, and I only made 22. I'm glad I finally finished them so I would stop looking at them and thinking it needed something more. The pictures don't do them justice, they are so cute and go so well with my castle themed wedding plans.
